IIX-JK2 (Indonesia Internet Exchange – Jakarta 2) is a critical expansion of Indonesia’s internet infrastructure launched by APJII to solve the risk of having only one central traffic hub (traditionally the Cyber 1 Building). It serves as a redundant, independent “second core” for the country’s internet, and is located in Digital Realty Bersama’s CGK11.
By physically housing IIX-JK2 in their facility, Digital Realty Bersama effectively became the second location of Indonesia’s internet ecosystem, offering ISPs and content providers a stable, carrier-neutral alternative to the legacy infrastructure.
